Opportunities for hourly-paid teaching in the School of Mathematical Sciences

The School of Mathematical Sciences periodically requires additional, part-time teaching from hourly-paid assistant lecturers (HPAL) and senior tutor/demonstrators. These requirements vary from year to year and depend upon student demand, module and programme delivery throughout the Institute and available staff.

The School is seeking to maintain a panel of successful candidates that can be appointed to part-time teaching positions throughout the academic year.

If you are interested in undertaking part-time, hourly-paid teaching and in applying to join a Mathematical Sciences panel please follow the application procedure below. Note: teaching in DIT takes place during two thirteen-week semesters (September – December and January – May) and applicants are expected to be available for the full semester. The dates for the coming year can be found at http://dit.ie/academicaffairsandregistrar/calendar/.
